The Lion King

5th graders got to experience the magic of The Lion King musical at Keller Auditorium in Portland. It was a full-circle moment for many of these kids and their teacher who put on their own spectacular production of the Lion King last spring! Tickets and transportation were provided by Keikis.
Scooter Winter Wonderland
December 2023

Keikis partnered with Grandhaven PTA to put on an awesome evening of brightly-decorated scooter mazes. Families came out to explore the different obstacle-themed worlds and got in a good workout while they were at it. Everyone was sent home with some hot cocoa and a festive spirit. Thorns Game
April 2023
3rd and 4th graders headed to Providence Park, home of the Portland Thorns to watch our local women's professional soccer team (championship title holders) take on the Houston Dash. Transportation arrangements and match tickets were provided by Keikis.

Read & Ride Program

Keikis sponsored the purchase of stationary bikes for students to enjoy a good book while getting in some exercise. Kids were thrilled to participate in the "Read & Ride".
Holiday Fun

Keikis made it possible for a group of 4th graders in our community to enjoy some Winter Break fun! Providing supplies for Snow Village creations and Gingerbread cookie making, these students were able to continue to make connections with one another over the break while implementing some spectacular engineering and math skills through their creations!

Tree to Tree

Kids and families harnessed in to experience a day in the canopy. They worked together to traverse platforms, obstacles, and zip lines. Admission to the park was made possible through Keikis.
Blazer's Game

4th and 5th graders traveled up to the Moda Center to watch our Portland Trail Blazers take on the Washington Wizards. Transportation and tickets to the game were provided by Keikis. Even with the loss, it was a thrilling game to experience and a first game for many of the kids!
Theater Production
Spring 2023

Keikis sponsored rights for students to put on the production of the Lion King. The kids learned about all the roles in a production, one being costume design.
iFly Experience

Keikis funded a STEM experience at iFly in Tigard where participants learned about forces, Newton's laws, surface area, and aerodynamics through engineering, design, and an air tunnel flight!
Blazer's Game

With transportation and ticket costs covered by Keikis, students enjoyed a trip to the MODA Center, home of the Portland Trail Blazers!
Birds of Prey Guest Speaker

Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders got to see and learn about the physical characteristics, habitats, diet, and more of birds of prey.

Traveling Library

Keikis put funds toward new books for a local teacher's traveling library. Title selection was based heavily on student interest (graphic novels) with intentional emphasis given to purchasing books with main characters representative of reader demographic. Kids can now request a book and have it delivered to their home!
Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Keikis sponsored its first all school event at an elementary and middle school. Passes to view the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) Live Streaming Event was Keikis's way to thank families and educators. Over 75 families were able to attend. It was an amazing laser light performance to musical Christmas favorites by talented TSO musicians.
